As a native of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, I have more than a decade of experience as a servant leader. I am the first to spearhead a Department of Defense military program which is the gateway to trusted information, resources and confidential help for our United States military and family members. I am responsible for Pennsylvania’s military community, and as a former Navy spouse, I understand the needs of people.
I serve as a board member of The Harrisburg Innocence Project, Blind Justice ~ Help a Brother Out/Help a Sister Out, and Enuf is (Ending N-justice Uniting Forces). The nonprofits advocate for a call to end violence in Harrisburg PA and bring awareness to wrongful convictions and exonerations in Pennsylvania.
I created Be Empowered Be Yourself (BEBY) because I believe that there is always space for us to learn from one other. There are many people who want to share their stories on how they have overcome personal adversity. Our communities are hurting. Our children are hurting. I believe it’s time to gain a sense of community back.
BEBY is a space where it is perfectly acceptable to bask in the fullness of who we are as individuals and share our best selves-vulnerabilities and all while encouraging others to do the same through open discussion without judgement.
